What Makes Franchising Successful?

A truly successful franchise requires a good company, a good product and/or service, and a good franchisee. All of these factors and more will be needed to make franchising successful. The bottom line, however, is that the franchisor and the franchisee must be a good fit for each other and the product or service being offered.

Franchising is successful because you are duplicating a system. It is the same concept used in network marketing companies. If something works, why not continue using it to make more and more profits? A good franchise is one that has already been proven to be successful, with well known branding. Follow the system laid down by the original company and you can't go wrong.

There is also a lot of money to be made in franchising, and not just for one side. When you are the company franchising, it allows you to create additional profits with no overhead, as you earn a percentage or royalty from the franchisees. As a franchisee you have the ability to earn a good deal of money by simply following the plan laid out for you by your franchisor.

Franchises are often much more successful than other start up businesses because of this important factor. As the franchisee you are provided with a clear cut business plan with goals and steps to follow, a proven product or service, and all the training you could possibly need to run your business. It is a no-brainer for the fresh entrepreneur. Franchising provides an easy way to transition from a job to owning your own business.
